The Big Give was so successful last year we have decided to do it again this year! Our goal is for this to be our only fundraiser and to save us the misery of selling cookie dough or wrapping paper.
Each family is asked to donate $50 (this includes $15 PTO membership dues) 100% of the funds will be used to maintain our regular PTO sponsored activities, any additional money raised above the proposed budget will be put towards an additional playground for the school and, if enough money is raised, volleyball net anchors. No decisions will be made on which playground to get until the fundraiser is completed and a final budget is voted on but we expect to be able to provide the landscaping and some climbing structures at the very least.
This year we have decided to hold a drawing for some fabulous prizes such as movie passes, portable DVD player, underwater video camera, family fun packs and so much more. This drawing will the take place of the t-shirt given in years past. One family ticket will be given with your envelope and should remain in there to be turn in. The drawing will be held the night of the celebration.
The fundraiser will conclude on September 1st @ 5:30 pm with dinner served at 6:00. We will be meeting at the Riverton City Park. In conjunction with that event, we will be holding a silent auction. In past years we have had many gift certificates donated from businesses in the area. While we plan to have some of those, we are hoping to have mostly items donated by our PTO families and their friends. Some ideas include hand-made decorative items, sewing projects, hair bows, scrapbooks, photography, professional services, family business items, or pretty much anything else you can think of. Do you have a connection to a business? Businesses donating $250 or more, in kind or monetary, will be recognized throughout the year w/ their logo on a banner in the lunch room. These items can be brought the night of the event or arrangements for pickup can be made by calling Renee Kevern @ 801-755-2904.
