North Star Academy is participating in the Read Today program set up through Desert Media Companies. It is a literacy initiative that promotes literacy and an interest in books all year long throughout the state of Utah.

In order to participate and log your child’s reading, simply log onto http://www.readtoday.com/track and click “Sign Up.” After registering, you can log your child’s minutes for our school. Make sure you log the minutes for North Star Charter, not North Star Elementary! Prizes will be awarded to those readers who log the most minutes. Additionally, the three top schools will receive pizza parties in the fall, accompanied by a top author and KSL reporter. As a school, we are starting a little late so we’ll have to play catch up for a little while. Let’s get reading!!
