Jamie Van Leuven
I graduated from the University of Utah with my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I then taught 4th grade, immediately falling in love with education. After much searching I came across North Star Academy. My personal vision for education was a perfect match with NSA's, engaging and inspiring students to love learning through discovering their own interests. I was so excited to join the NSA community. I started at North Star teaching elementary music, then moved into the SEM Specialist position, after which I was lucky to serve with some amazing NSA parents on the PTO executive board as the VP for elementary. I have loved working with the NSA community, and agree with Renzulli, "A rising tide lifts all ships." As we discover where our passions lie, our own enthusiasm for learning grows and becomes contagious, in turn inspiring others.
